A human's ingredients would be 1,200 eggs, enough iron to make two dime nails, phosphorus to make 4,000 matches, grease to make 75 candles... or more, a bar of soap, enough hydrogen to fill a balloon, 60 tablespoons of salt, a bowl of sugar and six gallons of water... that's you. Charles Mayo of the Mayo Clinic says you have enough lime to whiten a chicken coop, enough magnesium to make a shot of magnesia, enough potassium to blow up a toy cannon, enough sulfur to rid a dog of fleas, that's you. But one day you will be incorruptible.
reflections on motherhood
Here's a quote from Elisabeth Elliot to cheer you up today. As her book The Shaping of a Christian Family puts it: “There is no nobler career than motherhood at its finest. There is no greater opportunity, and in no other area does failure carry greater penalties. How carefully, then, should he prepare for such a task? When the mechanic who is supposed to work on "things" has to go to technical school, when the doctor, in whose skillful hands people's lives are entrusted, has to go to medical school. . . How much more must he learn from the highest schools and from the same master sculptor, God, the mother who molds the souls of the men and women of tomorrow.
“Facing this task without preparation or training is tragic and the consequences will affect future generations. On the other hand, humanity cannot reach a higher height than that of a converted praying mother, inspired by heaven”.

"Contain yourselves with joy when you pass through various trials" James 1:2
“Our values determine our qualifications.
When we value comfort over character, trials upset us.
If we value the material and the physical more than the spiritual, we will not be able to value everything as joy.
If we only live for the present and forget the future, trials will make us bitter, not better.
Quote from Nancy

daniel and praying
Daniel 6:10 Daniel "knelt down three times a day, prayed, and gave thanks before his God." Busy as he was, Daniel found time to pray, and a man whose habit it is to call on God saves time instead of it to waste. You have a clearer mind, a calmer spirit, and can act with more determination when circumstances demand it. Dwight L. Moody
From John Paton's autobiography
From the autobiography of John Paton: When missionary John Paton raised an extremely large sum of money to buy a ship to be used for missionary work in the New Hebrides, he was asked, "So what do you really count on?" John Paton answered them with confidence and certainty: “I will expound the claims of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the people……….and go forward with my best strength, believing that the Lord will send me the necessary 6,000#. If you do not, I hope you will send me mercy to reconcile my disappointment, and I will go back to my work without the ship.

Put your eyes on Jesus
Oh soul, are you tired and sad?
There is no light in the dark, see?
There is light to see the savior,
And a richer, freer life!
Chorus: Set your eyes on Jesus,
Look straight into your wondrous face,
And things on earth will grow strangely dark
In the light of his glory and grace.
through death to eternal life,
He passed and we followed him there;
Sin has no more dominion over us –
We are more than winners!
fix your eyes on jesus
Look straight into your wondrous face,
And things on earth will grow strangely dark
In the light of his glory and grace.
His word will not let you down - He has promised;
Believe in him and everything will be fine:
So go to a dying world
To tell His perfect redemption!
fix your eyes on jesus
Look straight into your wondrous face,
And things on earth will grow strangely dark
In the light of his glory and grace.

“Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened to save; also grief in their ears for not being able to hear.” Isaiah 59:1
Jesus is the whole world to me
“Jesus is the whole world to me, my life, my joy, my everything; He is my strength day after day, without him I would fall. When I'm sad I turn to Him, no one else can cheer me up like that; When I'm sad, he cheers me up, he's my friend.
Jesus is the whole world to me, my friend in difficult trials; I go to Him for blessings and He keeps giving them to me. He sends the sun and the rain, He sends the golden grain of the harvest; Sun and rain, grain harvest, He is my friend.
Jesus is the whole world to me, and I want to be faithful to him; Oh how could I deny this friend when he is so loyal to me? Following him, I know I'm right, he takes care of me day and night; I follow him day and night, he is my friend.
Jesus is the whole world to me, I don't want a better friend; I trust him now, I will trust him when the fleeting days of life are over. Beautiful life with such a friend, Beautiful life that has no end; Eternal life, eternal joy, he is my friend.
The biblical definition of love.
I couldn't help but share this: The biblical definition of love: “We usually define love in terms of emotions: how we feel. The biblical definition of love is the passionate, sincere, selfless pursuit of the welfare of others. You can love even when there are no emotions, because love starts with a decision, sometimes you show emotion, sometimes you don't, but when you passionately, sincerely and sacrificially seek the well-being of the other, you really love. God's standards, because 'God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.' Love is shown in their willingness to make sacrifices for our welfare.” Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas Tx.
Anyone can say they are a Christian, but if there is no change in your life, then you have not met Jesus Christ. If the god of the universe saves you, you are a new creation. The old passed away and everything became new. I'm not the Sandra I was before I met Christ, and thank God for that!
God's gift of life and motherhood are precious gifts. This life is not about our happiness and what we can do to be happy. It's about Christ and what we can do for Him.

Here's my little piece of advice for mothers with young children: Sunday mornings are always incredibly busy! Before going to church on Saturday night, get the kids' clothes ready, pack the diaper bag, make the drinks and put them in the fridge (of course), leave the shoes in a special place so you know where they are (BOTH) in the morning. When getting your children ready for bed, you can involve them in some of these steps, such as: B. choosing their clothes. We've turned this into a game for the kids and it helps reduce this mother's stress level significantly! christy slawson
This is my father's world.
This is my Father's world, and all nature sings to my listening ears, and the music of the spheres resounds around me.
This is my father's world: I stop thinking about the stones and the trees, the sky and the sea; His hand did wonders.
This is my father's world, the birds stirring their songs, the morning light, the white lilies proclaiming their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world: He shines in all that is beautiful; On the rustling grass I hear her passing; He talks to me everywhere.
This is my father's world. Oh, never let me forget that though evil often seems so strong, yet God is sovereign.

prayer for our country
“Heavenly Father, we come to you today to ask for your forgiveness and ask for your guidance and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that's exactly what we did. We lose our mental balance and change our values. We exploit the poor and call it the lottery. We reward laziness and call it well-being. We kill our unborn child and call it choice. We shoot abortionists and say it's justified. We fail to discipline our children and call it self-esteem development. We abuse power and call it politics. We covet our neighbor's goods and call it greed. We pollute the air with obscenities and pornography and call it free speech. We ridicule the ancient values of our ancestors and call it enlightenment. Search us, O God, and know our hearts today; Cleanse us from all sin and set us free. Amen!' Billy Graham

What a friend we have in Jesus
What a friend we have in Jesus to bear all our sins and pains. What a privilege to take everything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often lose, Oh, what needless pain we endure, All because we cannot bear it. All to God in prayer.
Do we have trials and temptations? Are there problems somewhere? We must never be discouraged. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who shares all our sorrows? Jesus knows each of our weaknesses. Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and burdened? Loaded very carefully.? Precious Saviour, continue to be our refuge. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do your friends despise you? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In his arms he will carry and protect you; There you will find comfort.

thoughts on prayer
“It is not enough to start praying or praying well; nor is it enough to pray for a while; but we must continue patiently and faithfully in prayer until we receive an answer; moreover, we must not only remain in prayer until the end, but we must also believe that God hears us and answers our prayers. Most of the time we fail to continue the prayer until the blessing is obtained and not to wait for the blessing.” Georg Müller
Quote from Martin Luther
“The Word is a unique book.
When I'm tired, the Bible is my bed;
because in the dark the bible is my light.
When I'm hungry, it's living bread;
when afraid, it is armor for battle.
When I'm sick, it's healing medicine;
or lonely, crowd of friends. I find in it
If I had to work, the Bible would be my tool; or playing, is the harp of melodious sound.
If I'm ignorant, it's my school.
When I go down, it's solid ground.
The Bible is my fire when I'm cold and gives me wings if I try hard.
Does sadness depress? The Bible is a sun.
In the middle of the ugliness is a garden fair.
I am thirsty? how cool is the flow of water. Or stuffy, what invigorating air.
So since you're giving me yourself, how am I supposed to give you the big book?

We all need to grow in our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through diligent and dedicated daily Bible study and prayer, as individuals and as families. Biblically healthy families and individuals are deeply committed churches and witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ. May the Spirit of Christ be my Savior
May the Spirit of Christ my Savior live in me day by day through His love and power controlling all that I do and say.
Let the word of God dwell richly in my heart hour after hour, that all may see that by his power alone he triumphed.
May the peace of God my Father rule my life in all things to give me peace of mind to comfort the sick and afflicted.
May the love of Jesus fill me As the waters fill the sea; Get up, humble yourself, That's victory.
May I run the race ahead of me, standing strong and courageous in the face of the enemy, looking only to Jesus as I go along.
May your beauty rest on me as I look for the lost to win, and may they forget the channel just by watching it.
Who am I ?
I am a 69 year old wife, mother and grandmother. After 49 years of marriage, my husband and I have been blessed with 4 wonderful children and their wonderful companions, 19 precious grandchildren, five of whom are now with the Lord, and 3 great-grandchildren. I've been going to church all my life, but until I was 28 I never saw myself as a lost sinner in need of a Savior. At that moment, the Holy Spirit convicted me of my sin and I was brought to repentance and the Lord graciously saved me and I have praised Him ever since. "I am standing by the sea. A ship beside me unfurls her white sails in the morning breeze and heads out into the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until she finally stops as point of white cloud exactly where the sea and sky mingle. And then I hear someone beside me say: "There it went. Out of my sight, that's all. It's as high on the mast and hull and spars as it was when she left my side. And just as capable of carrying your living cargo to its destination. Her diminished greatness is in me, not her. And just as someone beside me says, "There it went," other eyes await its arrival, and other voices ready to hear the joyful cry, "Here it is!" And it's dying." CH. Spurgeon
The Biblical Definition of Love: “We usually define love in terms of emotions: how we feel. God's standards, because 'God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.' The love was shown in their willingness to make sacrifices for our welfare.”

"Since faith unites us to Christ, it cannot exist without life."
Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a coward like me. I was lost, but now I'm found; I was blind, but now I see.
It was grace that taught my heart to fear; and Grace eased my fears. How precious that grace seemed to me, the hour when I believed for the first time.
Through many dangers, troubles and pitfalls I have passed. Tis Grace carried me here to safety and Grace will guide me home.
